Farmer Lee Jones, Chefs' Garden
Farmer Lee Jones, Chefs’ Garden

In a nod to the source of all great food we are starting- literally- from “the ground up”  with Farmer Lee Jones, a pioneer of the sustainable agricultural movement,  whose family’s 300-acre vegetable farm, The Chef’s Garden, in Huron, Ohio, grows specialty vegetables, herbs and micro greens shipped to restaurants around the world. We first met Lee at The James Beard Foundation Awards. You couldn’t miss his trademark overalls and red bowtie among all the tuxedo clad guests. Working alongside his dad and brother, Farmer Lee guides his dedicated team to find new ways to become more sustainable while producing the best quality ingredient for their “growing inventory.” Follow Lee:  @farmerleejones  @TheChefsGarden

Katrin-Naelapaa, Director Wines from Spain
Katrin-Naelapaa, Director Wines from Spain

Our second guest is Katrin Naelapaa, Director of Wines from Spain since 2001, where she oversees all marketing, advertising and promotion for Spanish wines in the U.S. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Katrin some years ago and enjoyed many an evening over a glass of sparkling Cava, a tantalizing Toro or a rich Rioja at events such as the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. Katrin’s work is significant in the wine world. Her role involves not only linking producers in Spain to importers in the U.S, through programs such as The Spanish Cellar, but also bringing greater awareness of Spanish wines to consumers through programs through dinners, programs such The Great Match: Wine & Tapas.
