Do you live with debilitating conditions like anxiety, depression, migraines, ADHD, or insomnia? Seeking an edge on your professional performance to help you achieve your business goals or earn a promotion?

Whether you’re looking for relief from symptoms that impact daily life, or simply want to optimize your skills and talents for greater success, neurofeedback can help. Please join me on Monday, August 20 at 5 PM Eastern when I welcome forthcoming author and President and Director of Neurotechnology for the Center For Brain, Michael Cohen:

Michael Cohen is Director of Neurotechnology and President of The Center for Brain Training. He has specialized in Applied Psychophysiology and EEG Biofeedback since 1996.

As Director of Education for EEG Spectrum, one of the main training organizations in the field, Mike organized and taught courses around the world to psychologists, therapists, and MD’s on the use of neurofeedback. He has helped organize and teach courses introducing neurofeedback to psychiatrists at the annual American Psychiatric Association. He has also taught neurofeedback at many of the annual industry conferences.

Mike has served on the Board of Directors for two of the largest professional organizations in the field of neurofeedback. He has produced over 36 monthly audio CD interviews with top industry leaders, as well as with professionals from other related fields. These professionals share their experience and expertise in using neurofeedback with PTSD, depression, ADD, autism, etc. Called the Phone Forum, the CDs are distributed around the world to neurofeedback professionals. It continues to be a popular series for new and experienced clinicians.

Over the years, Mike has used neurofeedback to help thousands of individuals. Additionally, he’s assisted more than 1500 health professionals in learning and mastering neurofeedback. As Director of Education for EEG Spectrum International from 2002 through 2005, he helped create and teach an introductory course that has been described as setting the standard for the field. He continues to teach advanced neurofeedback courses to doctors, psychologists, and therapists.

In addition, Mike provides clinical consulting services to healthcare professionals. This involves reviewing clinical cases with them and providing guidance in using neurofeedback with specific patients.

What was Michael’s motivation for founding the Center For Brain in 2006?

In 1995, his father underwent neurofeedback in a desperate attempt to get a handle on years-long, severe depression after medications and even electroconvulsive (shock) therapy failed to bring him out of unrelenting despair. After a short course of neurofeedback, Mike’s father’s personality returned, and his mood improved to the extent that he re-joined the world.

This dramatic change in Mike’s father prompted Mike to co-found a neurofeedback center in Georgia.  He has become recognized as a leading expert in the field, teaching neurofeedback to physicians and healthcare professionals both in the United States and abroad.

In 2005, he and his wife Carolyn moved to Jupiter, Florida to be closer to Carolyn’s father in Boca Raton. The following year, he opened the Center for Brain Training in Jupiter.

Michael looks forward to releasing his book in the near future. During our interview he’ll offer a detailed explanation of neurofeedback and its many benefits. We’ll also take your questions from the live chat room and do our best to address them all.
