New Moon in Pisces

You may wonder why I make a big deal about the New Moon and Full Moon phases. It is because I feel it is important to honor these celestial events that will enhance our lives in some manner. On February 26th we will have a New Moon which means that as you look up into the sky there is no visible moon present. It falls in the astrological sign of Pisces so it is all about water and being fluid and flexible.

Piscean New Moons call for self-exploration an opportunity to delve inward and see what makes us tick. A good time to examine the beliefs we hold dear. Which ones are serving us? Which ones should we let go? This can be an emotional experience but it doesn’t have to be painful. Looking into the self can be enlightening and motivating giving us the opportunity to forge ahead with things we may be procrastinating on.

Sleep may be a bit illusive as your creativity is kicked into high gear. It would be a good idea to keep a journal by your bed and if you wake in the wee hours of the morning with a great idea write it down. Also take this opportunity to keep track of your dreams. These too could give  you significant insights into what is going on.

As Marianne Williamson said:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” This Piscean New Moon reminds us that there is no more playing small in our lives.

To max this energy even further there is an Annular Solar Eclipse. An Annular Solar Eclipse is where the Sun appears behind the Moon as a bright ring of light called an annulus looking like a ring of fire around the dark disk of the Moon. Observing from the Earth, the moon will cover approximately 99% of the Sun.

We have all the players then converging to create quite a burst of energy. The Moon which represents our past, unconscious, emotions, and feelings.  The Sun which connects with our identity, self-esteem, creative expression and Pisces which is connected with water, our psychic abilities, our dreams and our creativity.

On February 21 on The Night Shift at 7:00 PM  we will explore all of this and what it means to you. How can you best utilize this energy? What are some tools you can use to harness it? Mini readings throughout the show as well.
