Retiring after 45 years of practice in tax law, Michael Anstin has devoted himself to music and the theatre. His teaching as a Visiting Professor at Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California Berkeley, and in other countries brings special perspective to his writing.

A cabaret singer heard some of his work and motivated Michael to write what first musical, Answer the Call. Additional experiences in getting to know people led to the development of Butterfly, Sophia.

He writes under the pseudonym of Jake Kelly,with his latest book The Beautiful Woman Syndrome and the Invisible Man.
