TREATMENT S.O.S., Thursday, March 8th, 2:00 p.m. EST W4WN

There are so many patient-based decisions that have to be made by not only the cancer patient and their family, but the oncology medical treatment team. These decisions should not be based on age, but the age of the patient may impact their quality and even the length of their life. For example, I know a medical facility that gave a 100-year-old patient a stem cell transplant. The patient did not survive. So, was it a wrong decision, if the patient wanted to do it? My guest is Dr. Habib Sadeghi from UCLA Medical Center. After taking a year off from medical school to combat his own cancer, Dr. Sadeghi became an Osteopathic Physician. While he uses standard cancer treatment, he is also extremely skilled at less invasive treatment options that focus on the “whole person” approach.
