Juliet Aguwa, founder of Courage to Dare. She was born in Africa, where she studied theatre arts and did some TV acting. Now an American citizen living in Wisconsin, Juliet was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after her second daughter was born. “The only thing I remembered saying to my doctor was ‘I want to raise my kids because nobody can love them better than I can.’ And she responded, ‘Oh, yes, you are going to.'” Because of her African culture, Juliet thought that breast cancer was a death sentence. As a beautiful, healthy survivor, she founded Courage to Dare to give other African and African-American women HOPE–if she could survive, so can they!
