The simple BLOOD TEST that detects even early stage lung cancer. CANCER S.O.S., Mon., July 2nd, 2:00 p.m. EST on www.W4WN.com and www.W4CS.com. How many lives can this show save?

Lung cancer claims more lives each year than breast, colon, liver, kidney and melanoma cancers combined, due in part to inadequate early detection. Often symptoms don’t appear until later stages of the disease when 5-year survival can be as low as 4%. A shocking 85% of lung cancer are diagnosed in late stage. When my mother was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer, I was shocked; she had very few symptoms. Lung cancer is treatable if found early–evidence my friend Shirley who recently had part of her lung removed, and was up and around within weeks of the surgery. The conundrum has always been HOW DO WE GET THAT EARLY DIAGNOSIS. EarlyCDT-Lung is a simple blood test ordered by a physician to aid in risk assessment and the early detection of cancer. My guest is Greg Stanley, the Chief Commercial Officer of Oncimmune.

What is EarlyCDT®-Lung? A simple, commercially available blood test to aid in the early detection of lung cancer which:
Has 5x better positive predictive value, and 7x fewer false positives than CT scans
Detects all types and all stages of lung cancer, including Stage I and II
Is reimbursed by Medicare and Private Insurance
Is non-invasive, with no radiation risk for the patient

THIS SHOW WILL BE REBROADCAST FOR THOSE WHO MISS IT ON SAT., JULY 7TH AT 1:00 P.M. EST ON www.W4CS.com.
