Atlanta Mantel and Kitchen Hood Manufacturer To Be Showcased On HGTV

On May 19th 2013 8:00 pm EST, HGTV’s Most Extreme Homes will feature work by Norcross- based Tuscan Stone Mantels at the residence of Ron and Joy Adams in Destin Florida. Installed just one day after Hurricane Katrina rolled through New Orleans, this was one the company’s major installations in 2004 according to Phil Saylor who founded the company in 2002.

Tuscan Stone Mantels was brought into the project by Stan Johnson AKA Montgomery, Alabama. Together, Stan, Phil and the Adams worked to create dynamic Tuscan architectural elements inside and outside the home. According to Saylor, “Ron and Joy have a great sense of design and were great to work with.  Ron could describe how he wanted a display to look or fit in an area which helped us give them what they wanted. Stan was great with producing drawings of the features. We had challenges as expected in any custom job of this magnitude, but the results were spectacular and the Adams’ were delighted with the outcome.”

The show will feature the 22,000 sq. ft. home located in Kelly Plantation at Pine Point on the Bay. The Bay Bridge is a strong focal point of the scenery. Ron “Elvis” Adams is an Elvis performing nationally and internationally.

Tuscan Stone Mantels is known for their custom work. Saylor committed, “We have developed fabrication techniques that separate us from the one size mantel and hood companies. We only have a few one piece mantels offered in one size. All of our hoods can be made larger or downsized. When a customer asks me what size an item comes in, I ask what size does it need to be?”
