Jobs for the disabled? Yes, it helps the economy!

Get past the stereotype.

There are millions of disabled people in the US alone – and they’re not all working at Goodwill or Wal-Mart. Nor should they be. Many are college-educated and capable of working at full-time jobs, earning their way and contributing to the growth and success of our economy.

So what’s the problem?

Despite education and a willingness to work, the unemployment rate for our nation’s disabled hovers around 70%.

There are many reasons for this – and just as many reasons why it needs to change. And that’s what Adam Kaplan, owner of Big Tents Jobs, discussed on Susan Rich’s internet radio show, End the Job Search.
